People I Chose:
1)
The first person I would choose would be a head
of a traffic light installation management team. This person is a domain expert
in the traffic light industry and distribution. They know how to run a successful
business in this aspect and all the tools needed for a successful business.

Ideally this person would have prior experience
in construction, and in a perfect world, would be a construction manager. They
would have good knowledge on how to manage a team and conduct them well. They
would be good at making operations flow smoothly.

This person fills the domain expert in the
industry

I could not find a specific person
d.
I would pay them, and the favor they would do for
me is to ensure the process of installing the traffic lights went smoothly
e.
I could focus on growing the business while they
focused on making sure the operations were running smoothly. This would allow
me to search for more opportunity instead of worrying about everything else
2)
The second person I would choose is someone who
is an expert in the strategic placement and distribution of traffic lights. I
would need someone who is able to monitor traffic patterns and place the
traffic lights in the best locations possible so that traffic flow would be
good. In addition, they must be able to quickly act when there is a problem.

This person would likely have worked for the
government in the area of traffic and highway systems
b.
This person would fill the slot of expert in the
industry
c.
I could not find a specific person
d.
I would pay them, and they would monitor traffic
patterns in a specific area and inform me/the company where the best place to
put the traffic lights would be

This person would take all of the guessing work
out of the equation.
3)
The third person I would choose isn’t really a
person at all. It would be a manufacturing plant, probably government owned,
that produces and manufactures traffic lights. I would need to buy the product
from them.
a.
This company/person would manufacture and build
traffic lights with smart light technology installed
b.
This fills the domain important supplier
c.
I could not find a specific person
d.
I would pay them to buy the traffic lights and
they would pay me to install them, or something along those lines
e.
This person would build the traffic lights.
Something that I have no idea how to do
Now, I researched for a while and truthfully could not find
one specific person that fit these categories. For the latter part of the
assignment, I wrote about what I would say had I been able to find a specific
person. It was difficult because traffic lights and highway systems are mostly
government controlled. Connections with the above people would help make my
business successful and operate smoothly.

It seems like you found different people in different areas to helps you with your business, so I believe you will make it happen and be succeed in this business. I believe it is very important to have a good surrounding group of people to help you succeed and the people you listed would help you thrive. All in all great job.

ReplyDeleteI think the people that you would reach would be able to offer some great advise for your budding company. Specifically, I think that the person who could help with strategic placement of the smart lights would prove to be very beneficial to you. Since the lights are likely to be expensive, the quantity will probably be limited so you would have to place the lights in the right spot. You have the right idea for the people that you need to seek advise from. Great post!

ReplyDeleteAfter reading this, I was shocked to see that you would hire a non-human to run your company. In this case, some industrialized products might be better to work with, rather than humans. However, if a person wants to work with your company, they would not get the spot if you are favoring industrialized products. I do agree that you have the right people to work with. Great job!
