1)
The exit strategy I plan to make is to sell the
business for a large return.
2)
I selected this particular exit strategy is because
the reality is that I do not want to deal with the stress of owning a business
and everything that comes along with it for the rest of my life. I want to
travel and do things I enjoy, maybe pursue a new hobby. However, all of these
things require money and that’s why I would choose to take the large return and
sell the business so that the stress is off of my shoulders.
3)
I don’t think that this exit strategy has had
any negative effects on the other decisions I have made in my concept.
Realistically, I wouldn’t leave or sell the business until I was one hundred
percent satisfied as to what it has become. Also, it is one thing to say all of
this now as a figurative strategy, however if faced with the actual decision of
walking away from a business I created I am not sure what I would do. The above
was what I think I would do.
Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to find out!
I can see where you are coming from by selling a big business, but wouldn't you want to pass it down to your family members? I believe a family owned business is the best idea due to the stability of the family and keeping the family together. When you indicated traveling, it seemed to be a great option to sell the business.
ReplyDeleteHi Ben, I think selling your business is a great idea. Once it is successful enough, you could most definitely turn a large profit. I agree with you in that I want to spend a good portion of my life traveling and doing other things for myself, rather than deal with the stresses of owning and operating a business.
ReplyDeleteHey I have the same vision as far as selling the business. I think it's important to know what you want and that includes know when it's time for you to move on. I think that waiting it out and making the business into something that you want before selling it is important as well, as you need to be able to feel confident that the business, which is carrying your name, is up to your standards.
ReplyDeleteHey Ben,
ReplyDeleteI have a smilier exit strategy, Once the business has reach a point where I am satisfied with its success, I will sell it and get rid of the stress. Also, I agree that when faced with the actual decision, it may be hard to sell the business. After putting countless hours of hard work and sweat, you would seemingly grow some emotional attachment to the business.
Hey Ben
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading over your exit strategy post. I feel that you have a great mindset when it comes to this business and knowing what you want and don’t want. Owning a business can be hard, challenging and stressful, it’s not for everyone. Selling your business for a profit would give you enough financial cushion to go travel and do the things you want.
Ben,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading this post! I like your idea about selling you business for a large return. Life is short! We should spend our time on our family after we make enough money. This is the reason why I like your idea. This is also the life I want to live. I hope one day you can make this happen! Good job overall!
